Victorian Chintz is based on a furnishing fabric of printed cotton from the V&A’s Textiles and Fashion collection. Its colourful floral motifs are representative of the Victorian taste for decorative designs inspired by nature, as an escape from the effects of the era’s widespread industrialisation.
