Zina on the French Riviera
We’re delighted to reveal a beautiful collection of 40s and 50s couture textiles designs created by Atelier Zina de Plagny. Zina de Plagny was a textile designer to the Parisian elite in an age of true glamour and vibrant creativity. It has only been later in life that her daughter, Marie Therese, has taken time to unearth, look and truly marvel at the work her mother, and her studio created at this prolific time. So taken with the beauty and contemporary feel of these images she has reached out to find new audiences.

The original artworks are beautiful. The pencil sketch marks remain as do the watery brush strokes and the imperfection of the human hand; they are refreshing to see. whether as a complete design or as close up abstracts they have an expressiveness that is rare in our computer age. And our aim is to preserve all these details in our prints for you. We are lucky enough to offer these rare images at Surface View.
