Wallpaper murals are the perfect product for transforming homes and public spaces. The interior designers and architects we work with tell us that, in an increasing visually aware world, they open up real opportunities for designers and brands to engage with audiences beyond the physical space they are creating in two ways:

  • Home owners are more likely to share their interior design projects on social media and via word of mouth if there is a real visual focal point to a scheme.
  • Customers and visitors to public spaces are significantly more likely to share images of interiors on social media if a statement design element is used.

We’ve selected just a few projects designers have shared with us, highlighting the very different styles of images used in different types of spaces, from luxury homes and hotels to hospitals and bars.

1.    Paintings

For high end luxury interior projects paintings are a great choice. Find gorgeous Dutch Still Life floral paintings from our National Gallery, Royal Academy of Arts and Ashmolean Museum collections or browse our pages of perfect portraiture brought to life by renowned artists housed in the National Portrait Gallery collection. If landscapes and seascapes are more suited to your project, check out the V&A collection for masterpieces from John Constable and if you’re after birds, bugs and botany then the Natural History Museum collection has some of our favourite artworks.

The Haymaker Bar in Raleigh, North Carolina, installed one of our fabulous National Gallery flower wallpaper murals in their private club. Filling the whole back wall, above the dado rail, the dark and moody floral mural wallpaper blends seamlessly with the crittall windows and black woodwork.

Also veering to the dark side, Swain House boutique hotel opted for a National Gallery wallpaper mural. Selecting our ‘Detail from Christina of Denmark’ mural by Hans Holbein the Younger, they cropped and customised the mural to frame the hands from the original painting. The outcome is an expertly balanced hotel room scheme of crisp whites and dark tones.

Architects and designers Coppin Dockray used a range of images from across our collections to create incredible bathrooms displays in the Crosswater showroom in Dartford. These striking schemes are perfect for bathrooms in hotels, restaurants and bars.

2.    Patterns

Create real impact with pattern - classic or contemporary. Find 18th century chinoiseries alongside patterns by the Arts and Crafts design icons William Morris and C F A Voysey from V&A collection. Or check out our contemporary patterns from Michael Angove, and Ella Doran. Taking inspiration from nature, Michael Angove creates stunning contemporary chinoiseries.

Suitable for a myriad of applications, we’ve produced mural wallpapers, vinyls and Formica laminates for use in food preparations areas, bathrooms and healthcare facilities. If you’d like to discuss alternative substrates get in touch with us here.

3.    Photography

If you’re looking for imagery with broad appeal, our photography collections are perfect. We’ve seen our photographic wallpaper murals used in hospitals, bars and spas.

We love how one client used a range of stunning photography from our Nic Miller and Richard Osbourne collections in a maternity ward. These scenes of nature were chosen for their calming qualities and to create a positive a distraction during labour.

4.      Illustrations and Studies

Discover hundreds of colour or black and white illustrations and studies across our diverse collections. You’ll find anything from engravings of the human skull in the Natural History Museum collection or illustrations of cars and planes in the Haynes Manuals collection to intricate botanical studies from the Royal Horticultural Society collection and much, much more.

Supersized for maximum impact, the walls of Southwark College’s science labs were transformed with these inspiring statement wall art images.
