Originally a silk, damask fabric, which was often hung in England’s most revered stately homes in the Georgian era, the stylised acanthus leaves, feathers, fruit and flowers featured in this iconic design were later produced as a wallpaper in the Victorian period. Lydiard Damask is based on a fragment originally saved from the ballroom at Lydiard House in Wiltshire. Lydiard Damask Charcoal repeats horizontally.
