Capturing an explosion of change in the dynamic new post-war era in the west, the Pop movement was brave and visually arresting. Fast-forward more than half a century and the influence of its striking, graphic style has never been more apparent in contemporary art and design.

The term ‘Pop’ evokes not just art, but a period of innovation and lasting style, from fashion to album covers and classic furniture pieces. With several collections full of amazing visual material, we’ve drawn together an exciting POP! edit of designs, available in an array of products to bring the look to your space, your way.

Pop artists such as Andy Warhol and Roy Liechtenstein were inspired by advertising and comic book imagery, provocatively blowing up the scale and turning them into instant art works. Fresh, modern and full of impact, our Hemmingway Design collection takes visual cues from their work, including bold outlines, half-tone dots and a primary colour palette.

Follow suit from the original pop-art artists and enlarge these designs to create your own wall murals and epic posters, teaming these with white walls to further channel an art gallery vibe.

Just as pop art was influenced by every day ephemera such as street art, packaging and typography, our Trunk Archive collection looks to the details of daily life for inspiration. A single signage letter or a neon roadside sign makes a stylish and on-trend poster or print whether you go for full colour or classic black and white.

Meanwhile, our Vintage Festival and Land of Lost Content collections are loaded with retro-charm and appeal to the kitsch side of pop, packing a punch with tongue-in-cheek imagery and playful graphics. These make for fun full-wall murals and mix-and-match printed canvases hung side by side.

To finish off, accent your space with coordinating accessories on a smaller scale such as our cushions and ceramic tiles available in select collections including our Haynes Manuals range. Celebrating the distinctive automobile design of the pop period, these iconic illustrations are brought to life in a spectrum of bright shades or bespoke colours. Or, pick a clashing pattern from the Hemmingway design or Beano & Friends collection and layer up your look with lampshades and blinds for added snap, crackle and POP!
