Dying to make a statement in your home but nervous to take the plunge? We've got Rohini Wahi from blog The Beat That My Heart Skipped on hand to help with your design dilemmas...

Stylist, journalist and design junkie, Rohini Wahi is founder of the hugely successful interiors blog The Beat That My Heart Skipped.

With impressive career highlights including working for interiors brands, Elle Decoration, Living Etc and currently writing for DesignSponge, her style credentials speak for themselves.

Recently featured in the house tours series on DesignSponge, Rohini's gorgeous East London home showcases her simple and sophisticated style. It's clear that every detail in the property has been thoroughly considered transforming this family’s house into a home.

(L-R) 'A Still Life of Flowers in a Wan-Li vase' Print | National Gallery and 'Summer' Print | Royal Academy of Arts

Rohini’s calm and tranquil bedroom is one that we all strive to achieve. Free from clutter and constraints of modern life, this room is the perfect place to unwind after a busy day.

Simply hanging over the sideboard, are the two wonderful National Gallery and Royal Academy of Arts prints. Reflecting Rohini’s love of art, the still life paintings combine seamlessly with the Indian trinkets that remind Rohini of her childhood growing up in India. Dating back to 1609 and 1780 respectively, these masterpieces inject flashes of colour into the room.
