Last Friday we headed up to Croydon to fit the winner of our #SVmakeover competition’s Mural. We were greeted by the lovely (and very excited) Jenny. Armed with the mural, paintbrushes, rollers and buckets we set off to work transforming Jenny’s spare room into the home office she had always dreamed of.

In charge of proceedings was our expert fitter Phil. After a quick recce of the wall, the install commenced with a speedy seal to fill any imperfections. This then allowed the Mural to go up easily on to a clean and even surface. Working from right to left, Phil got to grips with the Mural placing each drop in turn on the wall in the right position before running a squeegee over the paper to adhere it securely. Once in place, the excess paper was trimmed off using a knife. Phil repeated this across each drop and before we knew it the Mural was up and the room looked spectacular.

Jenny chose‘Elder’ from the Natural History Museum collection, this gorgeous illustration of an Elder tree worked perfectly with the dark grey Farrow & Ball ‘Railings’ paint on the opposite wall. Jenny explained that the room would be used both as an office for her and a reading room for her son. We think the tree design is perfect for the space and we are thrilled that this can be enjoyed by all the family!

We had a great day with Jenny and absolutely loved her choice of Mural.
